Want to notify clients and your team on WhatsApp automatically when a Reportei Control goal is reached? Pluga lets you configure automatic notifications through the WhatsApp Business API without writing code.
This automation helps agencies and marketing teams communicate results quickly and keep clients and colleagues informed about campaign performance.
Before you start
Make sure you have active accounts with Pluga, Reportei, and WhatsApp Business API.
Important: this integration uses the WhatsApp Business API, which is different from the standard WhatsApp Business app. The API supports businesses automating communication at scale. This Pluga workflow requires an official WhatsApp API provider.
You also need an approved WhatsApp Business API message template. Automatic messages in this workflow use pre-approved templates in accordance with WhatsApp’s policies.
Step by step
1. Open Pluga and click “Sign in”, or “Sign up” if this is your first visit
2. Select the tools
On Pluga’s home page, click “Create automation”. Choose Reportei as the source tool and select an available trigger:
Report viewed: when a report is viewed
Dashboard created: when a dashboard is created
Automation executed: when an automation runs
Control goal reached: when a Control goal is reached
Control goal not reached: when a Control goal is missed
Milestone added to Timeline: when a milestone is added to the Timeline
For this example, choose “Control goal reached”.
3. Connect your Reportei account
To connect Reportei to Pluga, you need the API access token from your Reportei account.
If you need help finding it, click “See the step-by-step guide to finding your access keys” on the Pluga screen. Paste the token into the field provided and click “Connect new account”.
4. Configure the Reportei options
Select the project to monitor.
5. Apply filters if needed
Use filters to send WhatsApp messages only in specific situations, such as when a reached goal belongs to a particular project or client.
If you do not need filters, click “Save and continue”.
6. Select the destination tool
Select “WhatsApp Business API” as the destination tool to receive information when the trigger fires. Choose “Send message from a template”.
7. Connect your WhatsApp Business API account
Click “Connect new account” and provide the credentials needed to authorize Pluga to send messages through your WhatsApp Business API account. The required credentials depend on your API provider.
8. Configure the recipient number and message template
Enter the phone number that should receive the notification.
Important: Reportei does not provide phone-number attributes in the available variables, so enter a fixed number, such as the client’s number for notifications whenever the goal is reached.
Select the pre-approved message template. Customize its parameters using Reportei information, such as the project name, reached goal value, and analysis period.
9. Finish the automation
On the confirmation screen, click “Finish automation”. To add further actions, such as writing to a spreadsheet or notifying Slack, choose “Connect new tool”. Pluga lets you chain several actions in one automation.

Create notifications for other events
You can also create automations for other Reportei events:
- Send a quick alert when a goal is not reached
- Notify when a report is viewed to track engagement
- Notify when a new dashboard is created
- Notify when a milestone is added to the Timeline
Personalize messages for each client
Use Pluga’s dynamic variables to personalize messages automatically with project-specific information, making them more relevant and professional.
Combine with other tools
You can send the same notification through WhatsApp and other channels, such as Slack or email, so it reaches everyone who needs it.
