Change in Facebook (pages): discontinued metrics

On March 14, 2024, Meta discontinued some of its Facebook metrics due to the migration from the classic Facebook Pages to the new Page experience. This means that the Facebook API will no longer provide data for a set of Facebook Pages metrics (listed below), which will also result in the removal of these metrics from Reportei.

How will this affect you?

Since March 21, 2024, discontinued Facebook Page metrics are no longer available in Reportei reports. This means that they no longer appear as an option to be added.

If you are already using any of the discontinued metrics in a template, you will encounter the error message above. We recommend that you update the templates (saving a new one) by removing the metrics that have been removed.

List of Discontinued Metrics that Affected Reportei:

  • Page Engagement
  • Page Engagement Rate
  • Audience Gender
  • Audience by Age and Gender

In the case of the Audience Gender and Audience by Age and Gender charts, there has been a replacement, now they consider Page Impressions instead of Page Likes.

You can find more details about the discontinuation in Meta’s official documentation here.
