Why some Instagram metrics appear as unavailable

Currently, Reportei has two ways to connect an Instagram account.

  1. Connection via Instagram
  2. Connection via Facebook

Some Instagram metrics are only made available by the API itself when the account is connected via Facebook Therefore, if your account was connected directly through Instagram, some metrics might appear as unavailable in Reportei.

This can happen with the following metrics and graphs

  • Total reposts on posts;
  • Total reposts on reels;
  • Reposts over time
  • Saves over time;
  • Shares over time;

In these cases, Reportei may display a dash in tables or a message indicating that the metric data could not be displayed.

How to resolve

To access these metrics, it is necessary to reconnect the Instagram account using the option Log in with Facebook.

For this

  1. Access the Manage Integrations of your project
  2. Locate the Instagram integration
  3. Remove or disconnect the current integration by clicking the trash icon
  4. Reconnect the account using the option Log in with Facebook;
  5. After connecting, go back to the report or dashboard and refresh the data.

Important

Even when connecting via Facebook, the Instagram account needs to be correctly linked to a Facebook Page and have the necessary permissions for the data to be returned.

If the metric remains unavailable after reconnecting, check if the Instagram account is set as a professional account and linked to a Facebook Page. If the problem persists, please contact our support.
