Does Flux have a daily posting limit?

Flux does not limit the number of posts you can schedule. However, some social networks such as Instagram and TikTok have their own publication and API usage limits defined by the platforms themselves.

This means that in some cases a post may fail even if the post is correct, the account is properly connected, and Flux is working normally. These limits account for posts made via Flux, the social network itself, and also by other tools connected to the same account.

See below how these limits work on each network and what to do when a post fails for this reason.

Instagram

Publication limit

Instagram allows up to 100 posts via API in a 24-hour window per account. This limit considers

  • Feed,
  • Reels,
  • Stories,
  • Carousels.

💡 A carousel counts as only 1 post even if it has multiple media.

This limit is shared among all tools connected to the account. If the same Instagram account is connected to Flux and other tools like Meta Business Suite, another scheduling tool, etc., all posts made by these systems consume the same 24-hour quota regardless of which tool was used to publish.

Possible errors on Instagram

  • API rate limit may appear indicating that the account exceeded the number of calls allowed by the API in a short period. This usually resolves itself after a few minutes.
  • Publication limit reached may appear indicating that the account reached the maximum number of API posts allowed in the last 24 hours. New posts must wait for the window to reset.
  • Antispam restriction may appear when Instagram identifies behavior it considers suspicious and temporarily blocks the action even without the account having reached the official limits. This type of block depends solely on the platform’s own analysis.

Before publishing, Flux checks the account’s status to try to identify in advance if it is close to the limit, reducing the chance of last-minute failures.

TikTok

Publication limit

The Direct Post limit is shared across API tools connected to the same creator account, including Flux. Follow the specific limit message returned by TikTok.

Draft limit

The account can have up to 5 pending drafts simultaneously in a 24-hour window. If this limit is reached, new draft creation attempts may fail until part of the window is cleared.

Possible errors on TikTok

  • Too many posts in a short time window may appear indicating the account has reached the posting limit for the period.
  • Too many pending drafts occurs when the account already has many drafts waiting for publication or completion.
  • Active user limit reached occurs when the daily user posting limit via Flux set by TikTok itself has been reached.
  • Many calls in a short time requests were made too quickly in a short interval for the same account.

The limit may vary

See TikTok’s official posting-limit guidance and its pending-upload limits.

The daily limit can vary between creators. A published estimate is not a guaranteed quota for your account.

Therefore, two different accounts can behave differently even when posting through Flux in the same way.

So, to summarize, the number of posts on Flux is unlimited but networks like Instagram and TikTok apply their own API usage rules to protect the user experience on these platforms.

If a post fails for one of these reasons, it is usually sufficient to wait for the time window indicated by the social network to reset before retrying.
