Changing a plan’s billing date can raise questions about additional charges or different amounts. This article explains why adjustments happen, how they are calculated, and what to expect after changing the date.
Note: billing-date changes are available only for monthly subscriptions paid by credit card.
Why is there an extra charge when I change my billing date?
The change creates a prorated adjustment covering the transition between your original billing cycle and the new one. For example:
- If your original billing date is the 14th and you move it to the 20th, you are charged a proportional amount for the extra days between those dates. This adjustment is charged immediately.
Once the adjustment is paid, future regular charges occur on the new billing date without that additional transition charge.
How does the transition work?
- First bill after the change: a prorated amount covers the days between your old and new billing dates. You may therefore make two payments to Reportei in the same month: your regular subscription payment and the adjustment for changing the date.
- Following cycles: after the adjustment, recurring charges follow the new billing date.
Will I pay twice in the same month?
The payment is not duplicated. The prorated adjustment is charged when the change occurs, or on its scheduled effective date, so two charges may fall in one month. Regular subscription billing then continues in the next cycle on your chosen date.
What to expect
Changing the billing date may initially create a proportional adjustment charge. After the transition, regular charges occur on the new date. For details, contact Support or open “My plan” from the menu.
