Starting from June 2026 Meta announced an update that discontinues some metrics that were previously available, and this makes it impossible for Reportei to pass on the options in reports and dashboards as well. We will explain in more detail what has changed in this article.
Historically, Facebook separated two concepts in reach metrics
- Reach Unique Viewers how many different people viewed the content without repetition
- Impressions Views how many times the content appeared on someone’s screen – the same person can be counted more than once
However, now Meta has discontinued this separation and created a new unified data called Media Views which replaces several old metrics at once. With this, what were once distinct concepts are now powered by the same data source.
What changed in Reportei with the Facebook update
To avoid confusion and ensure clarity in your reports, we made the following adjustments
The affected metrics were removed from the list of metrics and can no longer be inserted in new reports but remain visible in those already generated. The affected metrics are
- Sum of page organic reach
- Organic impressions of posts
- Organic impressions of the page
- Impressions of posts
Metrics that remain as the official source of data
- Page organic views for all organic content
- Total page views for the combined organic and paid total
Reports that already have the old metrics will not be affected the data will continue to appear normally. If you try to change the analysis period, a warning will be displayed guiding you about the replacement.
And in the templates
If you have a saved template with any of these discontinued metrics, when generating a new report from it, a warning will appear on the metric in question indicating that it is no longer provided by Facebook and suggesting that it be replaced.
