Yes, today it’s possible to select a cover for TikTok videos published by Flux.
The cover can be defined from a frame of the video itself even during the creation of the post
How to set the cover for a TikTok video
When creating a post for TikTok on Flux, you’ll see the cover selection option on the right side of the screen, within the content configuration area
To set the cover
- Create a new post on Flux
- Select TikTok as the publishing Feed network
- Upload the video
- On the right side of the screen, find the cover option
- Choose a frame from the video to use as the cover
- Finish scheduling or publishing the post as usual
Can I upload a custom image as a cover
Not yet Currently, TikTok does not allow uploading a custom image as a cover through the API This means that on Flux, you can only select the cover from a frame of the video itself
This is a limitation of the social network itself, not of Flux
Important
We are always monitoring updates provided by TikTok. If the platform starts allowing the submission of custom images as covers via the API, we will consider the possibility of including this improvement in Flux and notify our users
