How to create a LinkedIn Page for your organization

A LinkedIn Page gives your organization a presence on the professional network.

Use it to share relevant content, join industry conversations and connect with the audiences that matter to your business.

A Page can help build your brand, attract candidates and develop partnerships. It gives people a place to learn about your organization and its work.

This guide covers creating a Page, developing an audience and measuring your results.

How to create a LinkedIn Page

First, you need a real LinkedIn profile with your actual first and last name, in line with LinkedIn’s guidance.

Then follow these steps:

  • Open the For Business menu at the upper right of your LinkedIn home page on desktop. Older interfaces call this menu Work.
  • Choose Create a Company Page. This entry point also covers educational institutions.
  • Select the appropriate Page type from the options shown, such as a company, a Showcase Page or an educational institution.
  • Enter the organization’s details and complete the Page profile information.
  • Check the box confirming that you are authorized to create the Page on behalf of the organization.
  • Click Create page.

If LinkedIn asks you to add or confirm an email address for your account, complete that step.

The desktop flow is described above. LinkedIn also provides Page creation in its iOS app.

How to grow your LinkedIn audience

Building an audience takes consistent, useful content that is relevant to the people you want to reach.

These practices can help you develop your Page:

  • Publish useful content: understand your target audience and share industry insights, practical advice, trend analysis and social proof.
  • Join the conversation: reply to comments on your posts, participate in relevant discussions and interact with other people’s content.
  • Use relevant hashtags: choose tags that describe your topic and industry, helping readers understand what your post is about.
  • Include useful visuals: images, infographics and videos can make your content easier to understand and more engaging. Choose formats that fit the information you are sharing.
  • Consider sponsored content: paid campaigns can help you reach audiences beyond your current followers.

Keep your Page complete and up to date with key information about your organization. The aim is to develop an engaged community interested in what your business offers.
