What is Threads
Threads is a social network focused on conversations and text sharing, operating similarly to Twitter X. It is integrated with Instagram, meaning every Threads account is linked to an Instagram profile.
On the network, it’s possible to publish texts, images, videos, and interact with other users’ posts.
To access the insights available directly in Threads, you need to visit this link click on the last icon in the sidebar and then on the insights option.
How to integrate Threads with Reportei
To integrate your Threads account in the project, simply go to the Manage integrations scroll down until you find the Threads icon
Upon clicking Integrate or New account if you already have an account on this network integrated, the following screen will appear directing you to log in to your account.
And now
After following the steps above, your Threads account will be integrated with Reportei, and you will be able to generate reports and view important data directly on our platform.
Available metrics
After the integration, you will be able to view various data directly in your reports. Here are some of the metrics already available:
- Number of followers
- Views
- Mentions
- Reposts
- Graph Views over time
- Graph Audience by age and gender
- Table of Highlighted Posts
Known limitations of the Threads API
Being a new integration, the Threads API still has some limitations. It is important to consider the following points:
- Demographic data of age and gender only appear for accounts with more than 100 followers.
- No data is available before April 13, 2024.
- The followers metric only shows the current value at the time of report generation, without history.
- Profile insights may not work for dates prior to June 1, 2024.
- Reposts from other accounts’ posts are not counted in the insights.
- Reposts of content from one’s own account are added to the total reposts on posts.
- Replies within an original post do not count as separate interactions. For example, if a post has 30 likes and a reply to it receives 10 likes, the total will remain 30 in the report.

This is a very recent API, and Reportei will continue to make updates as new information is released by Threads.
